Improve efficiency in taking advantage of new generation FTAs
New generation free trade agreements such as CPTPP, EVFTA, UKVFTA or RCEP are bringing many opportunities for Vietnamese businesses and localities.
FTA Index results show that localities with proactive business support policies often achieve higher results in component indices related to information dissemination and support for FTA implementation. This reflects the important role of local governments in connecting businesses with opportunities from international economic integration.
Besides tariff benefits, businesses are increasingly interested in issues such as technical standards, green transformation, sustainable development and social responsibility. These are also the contents reflected in the evaluation criteria of the FTA Index.
In the coming time, improving the quality of business support, promoting innovation and developing sustainable supply chains will be important factors to help localities better exploit benefits from new generation FTAs.
